Seung Chan Lim has a background in Computer Science and Interaction Design. He has spent the last three years learning how to make things with physical materials.

Through the practice of acting, dancing, writing, and working with charcoal, paper, clay, gouache, glass, wood, metal, plastic, plaster, light and type, he came to the realization that making things with physical materials—including the human body—is analogous to engaging in an empathic conversation with another person. In this next chapter of his life, he is dedicating his time to the act of design that embodies a core philosophy of “empathic conversation.” For more on his thesis research that has lead him to this conclusion visit www.realizingempathy.com!
