ANCHOR is located within walking distance to downtown. We encourage walking and biking and have plans to install a bike rack system on site for those who choose this mode of transportation.
By car
We are located within 3 minutes of both Interstate 95 (accessing New York and Boston), and Interstate 195 (which leads to Fall River and reaches close to the border of Cape Cod). Providence has several options for ZIP Car. We have on street parking available as well as designated parking spots on site at ANCHOR.
Train and commuter rail
Acela Express (with Wi-Fi Available), services Boston, Providence, New York, Philadelphia, and Washington, DC. In addition, the Providence/Stoughton Commuter Rail line on the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) goes between South Station in Boston and the Amtrak train station in Providence. This MBTA Commuter Rail now also runs between TF Green Airport, located in Warwick, Rhode Island and the Amtrak train station in Providence.
Bus
Within Rhode Island, the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) offers several options for transportation. Local students and teachers are able to ride for free with a valid ID. Peter Pan Bus Lines also offers several options as well as Bonanza Bus. Both companies leave from Kennedy Plaza located conveniently in downtown Providence.
